My Story

Hi! I'm Kelci, a 23 year old Louisiana based artist who's always had a love for painting but struggled with what my style truly was. 

My work isn't about perfect technique or polished gallery walls. It's about real, raw life, the kind most people try to hide. I paint scenes of lonliness, exhaustion, rebellion, and wild life, but I do it through animals. 

Why animals? They give us a safe distance. A way to look at uncomfortable truths without looking straight in the mirror. A giraffe taking a smoke in it's confined bathroom wondering if this is all there is to life, a sloth overworked and under appreciated, a duck looking to just experience one wild ride to have some excitement in life. They're not just animals, they're us. 

Every piece I paint is a reminder that everyone is living a different story. And in mine? The animals are finally saying what most people cant.
